git2cl software package provides Simple tool to convert git logs to GNU ChangeLog format, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install git2cl
git2cl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the git2cl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep git2cl *
You will get with git2cl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
